The Oswego Public Library seeks candidates for a temporary part-time Library Clerk position. The individual hired will be responsible for helping patrons with the use of computers, assisting the Librarians in conducting programs, answering phones, registering patrons for library services, sorting materials, making photocopies and assisting with entry of new library materials. Candidates must demonstrate computer proficiency, provide excellent customer service and be adept at working with a wide variety of people and at various skill levels. Graduation from high school, or possession of a high school equivalency diploma, and 6 months experience working in a library or office setting required. Documented volunteer work may be accepted towards meeting paid library/office experience. References to be provided upon request. The position is subject to Civil Service regulations.
Hours will include Mondays from 1-7 and total 15 hours a week. Pay is $13.50 an hour.
